Lead Platform Support Engineer

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Platform Support Engineer in Technology as part of Commercial Corporate & Investment Bank Technology (CCIBT) engineering and transformation office. The role supports Platform Strategy and Transformation within CCIBT, focusing on stability, resilience, high performance, and high availability of applications and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for production deployments, ensuring governance and controls, and acting as a gatekeeper for any production environment changes.
• Provide cross-functional and cross-organizational coordination on root cause analysis for production issues.
• Review and analyze operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure high availability of systems and infrastructure.
• Lead complex, broad-impact initiatives, including high-level systems consultation for technology teams.
• Participate in large-scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations.
• Review and analyze complex technical challenges and escalated support issues related to core business solutions.
• Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements.
• Consult with engineering teams on change design, requiring a solid understanding of technical process controls or standards.
• Collaborate with technical peers, colleagues, and mid-to-senior-level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals.
• Participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting environments across the entire architecture (e.g., applications to infrastructure).
• Experience using ServiceNow for incident, change, and problem management.
• Knowledge and understanding of complex enterprise systems and frameworks, including frontends, middleware, services layer, database, backend, and downstream interfaces.
