Lead Planning Current Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

• Validates technical documentation and exercise scenarios to ensure alignment with industry and military standards.
• Authorizes quality gate oversight for simulation data and coordinates complex logistical requirements for multinational training events.
• Serves as a primary technical authority for the application of asymmetric modeling techniques.
• Oversees the development of training manuals and materials for operational systems, including command and control of the information environment.
• Collaborates with mission partners to translate received requirements into discipline-specific language for theater exercises.
• Coordinates the technical writing and editing process for consolidated exercise reports suitable for high-level distribution.
• Provides leadership, guidance, and mentoring to subordinate staff.

Requirements

• BA/BS in a relevant discipline or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of position-relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in quality gate oversight and serving as a functional lead.

Preferred Qualifications

• MA/MS in a relevant discipline or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of experience.
• Experience with Joint Operational Planning Toolkit (JOPT) and C2IE systems.

Physical Requirements

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and/or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
