About the role
This position is part of a team responsible for the accountability of the payroll for all Prince William County Schools employees. The role serves as the lead payroll specialist for the payroll office, including knowledge of the time and leave and payroll systems to cross-train and serve as backup to the Kronos Administrative Coordinator.
Work is performed within short time frames and strict deadlines and is subject to both external and internal audit procedures.
Responsibilities
- Process semi-monthly payment of employees
- Maintain payroll records
- Assist with pay period and annual audits
- Serve as backup to the Kronos Administrative Coordinator
- Perform other duties as assigned
