LEAD PATIENT SERVICES REP
About the role
Lead others in providing prompt and accurate patient registrations while delivering good customer service. Must be able to multi-task and work in a team environment. This individual serves as a lead and the front-line contact person for all incoming patients. The incumbent will greet, register, schedule and provide general information to patients and/or their families. Ensures that insurance information is verified, co-pays are collected, and that patient charts are prepared in advance. At all times ensures a high level of customer service by providing patient confidentiality and care in accordance with the Patient’s Bill of Rights.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee patient registration processes
- Greet, register, and schedule patients
- Provide general information to patients and/or their families
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays
- Prepare patient charts in advance
- Maintain a high level of customer service and patient confidentiality
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in a medical environment
- IDX experience preferred
- Some knowledge of medical insurances preferred
- Leadership experience preferred
- Computer literate with excellent communication and customer service skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Special Requirements
All incumbents must satisfactorily complete a Cooper IDX training program to include: Registration, Scheduling, E-Commerce, and FSC.
