Responsibilities
- Lead a team of employees.
- Provide training, inspiration, and guidance to the team.
- Coordinate work schedules and oversee front office operations.
- Assist in interviewing potential candidates for front office positions.
- Relieve staff for vacation and sick-time coverage.
- Greet incoming patients and visitors.
- Register patients, obtain insurance and patient information.
- Collect signatures and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
- Verify/ update changes in patient/physician/insurance to ensure proper billing.
- Collect co-pays and fees.
- Answer phones and schedule patients.
- Guide patients through the process and answer questions and concerns.
- Notify appropriate team member of patient arrival and coordinate with back-office staff.
- Participate in meetings.
- Aid in the implementation and administration of procedures and best practices.
- Participate in and/or lead various projects to support center operations and quality patient care.
- Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
- Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Respond to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior.
- Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Qualifications
- At least 3+ years of experience as a Patient Service Representative within a radiology center.
- A high school diploma.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- The ability to build and maintain a strong team environment.
- A dynamic and knowledgeable leadership attribute.
