About the Role

Coordinates the day-to-day activities and management of patient and outpatient access services, such as pre-registration, registration, admissions, payment collection, and other functions. Assumes responsibility for communication systems within departments. Provides guidance to staff within the latitude of established work area and policies. Works on assignments that are considerably difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations. Handles sensitive and confidential information, often involving the interpretation of policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains confidentiality of all information related to medical staff, patients, employees, and other sensitive data, with strict adherence to HIPAA compliance.
• Provides feedback to peers when errors or omissions are found on accounts so deficiencies can be remedied while the patient is still present.
• Reviews AETS reports and corrects errors; collaborates with the Quality/Education group to trend/track accuracy and identify training needs.
• Interacts positively with all departments to resolve issues and foster strong intra-departmental and inter-departmental working relationships.
• Follows all organizational and department-defined policies and procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience: Preferred
• Five years of relevant experience: Preferred

Pay

The estimated base pay for this position is $19.53 to $29.26 per hour. Additional individual compensation may be available through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
