Lead Patient Access Representative

About the role

Serves as a resource for employees, internal departments, and external customers, providing answers, assistance, and issue resolution across all areas of the department. Works independently, takes accountability for tasks, and excels in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new employee orientation and act as a mentor.
• Provide oversight of work tasks and adjust staffing to ensure coverage during absences or float shortages.
• Support ongoing department education and training; develop curriculum and materials as needed.
• Facilitate change management and adoption of new processes.
• Demonstrate analytical decision‑making, information gathering, presentation, project management, group facilitation, and training skills.
• Assist in managing productivity and department reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; associate degree preferred.
• Two years of experience with OneChart or a similar electronic medical records (EMR) system (required).
• Five years of customer service experience preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience required.

Pay

Salary range: $18.50 – $29.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Full‑time, 40 hours per week.
• 8‑hour day shifts, Monday through Friday.
• Day shift schedule.
