Lead Patient Access Representative

About the role

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America's heartland. This position is located at the Marsh Wisconsin Rapids Clin facility in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Responsibilities

• Function as a resource for employees, internal departments, and outside customers
• Familiarize with all areas of the department and fill in, answer questions, and assist in resolving issues within the department
• Work independently without much supervision and accept accountability for individual tasks
• Excel in customer service skills
• Assist with new employee orientation and serve as a mentor
• Provide oversight of work tasks and adjust staffing to ensure appropriate coverage due to absences or lack of float coverage
• Assist with on-going department education and training
• Develop training curriculum and materials to ensure that departmental training needs are met
• Facilitate change and ensure adoption of new processes
• Demonstrate analytical decision-making, information gathering, presentation, project management, group facilitation and training skills
• Assist in managing productivity and department reports

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Associate degree preferred
• Two years of One Chart or similar electronic medical records (EMR) experience required
• Five years of customer service experience preferred
• Previous healthcare experience required

Schedule & Pay

• Shift: Monday - Friday (Monday, Tuesday, rotating Wednesday & Thursday) 8:00 am - 4:30 pm one shift during the week / 5:00 am - 1:30 pm, rotating Wednesday & Thursday / Friday off at 2:30
• Full time, 36.00 hours per week
• Salary Range: $18.50 - $29.00
