Work Location
This is a full-time, remote role based in the United States. Candidates located in the Eastern U.S. are strongly preferred. Some travel will be required.
What You’ll Do
- Drive new enterprise partnerships aligned to WGU’s mission and strategic priorities
- Lead consultative business development with C-suite leaders and national decision-makers
- Design innovative proposals, campaigns, and workforce solutions that address large-scale talent needs
- Represent WGU at major industry events, conferences, and partner councils
- Coach and guide Account Executives and Senior Account Executives on enterprise sales best practices
- Partner closely with Partner Success teams to ensure smooth handoffs and long-term partner outcomes
- Contribute to national pipeline strategy, market expansion, and development of new verticals

- Bachelor’s degree
- 10 years of related experience, or 7 years of related experience with a Master’s degree
- Bonus Points: Prior experience in the higher education sector, extensive background in acquisition-focused roles, demonstrated success building partnerships with large organizations (1,000+ employees), proven track record in enterprise sales or strategic partnerships across industries, established professional network with strong industry credibility
What To Expect At WGU
- Full-time regular positions (classified as regular and working 40 standard weekly hours)
- This position requires occasional travel of up to 25%, including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year).
- Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed.

Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this role may substitute for education requirements. Generally, one year of relevant experience may be considered in place of one year of education, at the discretion of the hiring manager.
