Lead Mobile Engineer, Android (Enterprise Platforms Technology)

Responsibilities
- Develop Android client code solutions that align with product strategy and engineering best practices
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, UX/UI designers, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high-quality customer experiences
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of team commitments
- Influence and contribute to internal and external developer communities
- Mentor junior to mid-level members of the team
- Engage with developers across various disciplines and disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.)
- Lead the delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with senior engineers and architects
- Identify and address technical challenges, working closely with the team to find creative solutions
- Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Kotlin and other language idioms
- Share best practices and continuously improve processes within and across sprint teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience
- At least 3 years of experience building Android applications
- At least 3 years of experience with Kotlin
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience building Android applications
- 4+ years of experience with Kotlin
- 4+ years of experience with open source frameworks
- 2+ years of experience with Agile practices
- Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity

Pay
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
- Chicago, IL: $179,400 - $204,700 for Lead Software Engineer
- McLean, VA: $197,300 - $225,100 for Lead Software Engineer
- New York, NY: $215,200 - $245,600 for Lead Software Engineer
