About the role

Join us as a Capital One iOS Software Engineer and be part of a dynamic team driving innovation and transformation within Capital One. Our iOS and Android platforms are key to reaching our customers in personalized and engaging ways, and we're always exploring new frontiers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop iOS client code solutions that align with product strategy and engineering best practices
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers, UX/UI designers, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high-quality customer experiences
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies and contribute to meeting team commitments
  • Influence and contribute to mobile platform discussions and communicate feedback internally and externally
  • Mentor junior to mid-level team members
  • Engage with developers across various disciplines and disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.)
  • Lead and deliver major components and platform needs in collaboration with senior engineers and architects
  • Identify and address technical challenges, working with the team to find creative solutions
  • Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Swift and other language idioms

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 4 years of experience in software engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience building iOS applications
  • At least 3 years of experience with Swift

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience building iOS applications
  • 4+ years of experience with Swift
  • 4+ years of experience with open source frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile practices
  • Experience with interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity

Salaries for this role vary by location and can be found on the Capital One Careers website.

Schedule

This role is full-time and eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
