Key Responsibilities
- Lead mission-level systems engineering efforts supporting spacecraft assembly, integration, testing, and launch readiness.
- Advise Government leadership on technical performance, program schedules, risks, and mission execution.
- Cook up with contractor engineering teams and SETA representatives to monitor development progress and resolve technical issues.
- Support system integration, verification, validation, and mission readiness reviews.
- Evaluate technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies to maintain program objectives and launch schedules.
- Facilitate technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and cross-functional engineering discussions.
- Prepare executive briefings, engineering assessments, and decision-support materials for senior Government leadership.
- Track mission progress and provide status updates across program reviews and leadership meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 12 years with a Master's degree.
- At least 5 years of experience leading systems engineering activities on large, complex satellite or space systems programs.
- Demonstrated expertise in spacecraft integration, system testing, verification, validation, and launch preparation.
- Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and space system development processes.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and coordinate activities across multiple organizations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
- Previous SETA or Government Program Office experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community space programs.
- Experience supporting Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T), mission operations, or launch campaigns.
- Familiarity with national security space acquisition programs and spacecraft development environments.
