Lead Metal Stud Framer & Drywall Hanger

About the role

Richard H Robie Construction is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter/Framer to lead field operations on commercial metal stud framing, drywall, and specialty interior projects in southern NH and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field crews on multiple commercial construction projects.
• Coordinate daily work activities with Superintendents, Project Managers, and Subcontractors.
• Plan and assign manpower to maximize productivity and meet project schedules.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project scope with field personnel.
• Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
• Identify and resolve field issues while communicating project updates to management.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and jobsite logistics.
• Monitor labor productivity and support schedule adherence.
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Maintain daily reports, timekeeping, and production documentation.
• Assist with punch lists, inspections, and project closeout activities.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience leading commercial metal stud framing and drywall crews.
• Strong knowledge of metal stud framing, drywall, and commercial construction practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple crews and maintaining project schedules.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Driver’s License required.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Pay

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
