Key Responsibilities

  • Performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, positioning patients correctly for optimal image quality, and assisting with biopsies.
  • Assigning tasks to other technologists, providing guidance and training to new staff, evaluating performance, and addressing any issues within the department.
  • Monitoring equipment functionality, performing quality assurance checks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (MQSA), and identifying potential quality issues.
  • Explaining procedures to patients, addressing concerns, maintaining patient confidentiality, and coordinating follow-up appointments.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records, scheduling appointments, managing staff schedules, and reporting to the Mammography Supervisor.

Pay Range: $51.70 – $76.82

This position will work a day shift from 8:00-4:30.

Qualifications

  • Highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist.
  • Knowledge of specialized radiography equipment.
  • Ability to provide quality care to patients.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining mammography equipment.
  • Strong communication skills to explain procedures to patients.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Experience in scheduling and managing staff schedules.
