Lead Maintenance Technician

About the role

Conwood Flats Harborside in downtown Memphis is hiring an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician. Must be HVAC certified (Universal or Type 1 & 2). The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of maintenance experience, is HVAC certified, proficient in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair, has superior customer service skills, a team‑oriented mindset, is reliable, honest, and committed to high‑quality work. A valid driver's license is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Completing all service requests as assigned
• Completing all make-ready units
• Care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company
• Supplying all personal tools
• Cleaning work area, tools and equipment
• Assisting in preventive maintenance projects
• Escalating unresolved service issues to the Service Director
• Participating in "on call" rotation and responding to emergency calls as needed
• Positive communications with residents, vendors, and co-workers
• Operating within company safety policies at all times
• Weekend work may be required
• Adhering to all company policies including but not limited to safety and Fair Housing
• Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in apartment maintenance preferred
• HVAC experience with certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal)
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred
• Proficient in plumbing, HVAC, electrical and appliance repair
• Proficient in use of computers and online applications
• Working knowledge of property systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo preferred
• Depending on the property, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required
