About the role

The Lead Interior Cabinet Technician at West Star is responsible for managing cabinet modifications and installations, performing quality checks, and supervising and assigning tasks to team members. They also assist with engineering on major modification projects and prepare and deliver performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cabinet modifications and installations
• Perform quality checks and supervise daily activities
• Train and mentor team members
• Assist with engineering on major modification projects
• Remove, repair, and modify aircraft cabinets independently
• Prepare and deliver performance evaluations
• Communicate effectively (speaking, writing, reading) in English
• Assist with major modification work as needed

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of supervisory training classes preferred
• 8+ years prior experience in aircraft cabinets
• Exclusive knowledge in all areas of the job
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attend work regularly and notify supervisor of absences
• Reliable transportation to work
• Comply with FAA guidelines and company safety rules
• Maintain customer-oriented work habits

Qualifications

• Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines including OSHA, Hazmat, etc.
• Professional communication skills
• Ability to plan and organize procedures and operations
• Supervision of other technicians when required

Pay & Schedule

• Hourly rate generally ranges between $35-$42
• Shift differential available
• Weekly competitive pay
