Lead Insight Analyst (Kroger)

About the role

You'll be embedded within the Kroger client environment, acting as a trusted analytics partner, translating complex data into clear recommendations and responding to bespoke business questions from senior stakeholders. This role focuses on delivering high-impact analytics that influence commercial decisions and drive measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted analytics partner within the Kroger business.
• Manage and deliver bespoke ad-hoc insight requests from stakeholders across multiple business functions.
• Translate complex datasets into meaningful, actionable recommendations.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within retail performance data.
• Present findings and recommendations to client stakeholders in a clear and engaging way.
• Lead analytical projects from initial brief through to delivery and implementation.
• Support and mentor junior analysts where required.
• Collaborate with internal Retail Insight teams to ensure consistency, quality, and best practice.
• Help shape and evolve insight solutions based on changing client needs.

Requirements

• Significant experience in data, analytics, or insight-focused roles.
• Previous experience working directly with business stakeholders or clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience turning data into practical business recommendations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• A proactive and commercially minded approach to problem solving.
• Experience within grocery retail, FMCG, or consumer-facing industries would be advantageous.

Technical skills

Experience with some of the following is desirable:

• SQL
• Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
• Excel
• Data analysis and statistical methodologies
• Retail or customer performance metrics
