About the Role
Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes fill-ins, new clients, and training shifts with new caregivers. Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times with clients in any of their assigned branch service areas.
Responsibilities
- Fill in as needed
- Train new caregivers
- Client intakes
- Support clients in activities of daily living such as:
- Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
- Cooking and/or serving meals
- Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
- Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
- Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments
- Monitoring and reporting on their condition
- Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
Schedule & Location
- Flexible hours
- Two lead positions currently open:
- 1 resides in The Dalles
- 1 resides in Hood River
- Caregiver who can cover both areas preferred
Pay & Benefits
- $23.50/hr plus paid training and mileage reimbursement

Requirements
- 18 years+
- Ability to pass a state and national background check
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and clean driving record
- Ability to transport clients in their own vehicle
- Ability to adapt to flexible schedules
- Ability to lift a minimum of 10lbs and up to 50lb rarely
- One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital, or nursing home setting
- Must own a smartphone with capabilities to download and use a mobile app
- HCA or C.N.A. certification preferred but not required
Hiring Process
- Apply and the recruiter in your region will connect with you to schedule a phone interview
- If hired, you will be scheduled for orientation at your branch
- Once you have completed onboarding, orientation, and training, you can start working with clients
- If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients (you will be paid to complete both trainings)
