About the Position

The Military Entrance Processing Station plays a vital role in maintaining the nation's military might by ensuring that each new member of the Armed Forces: Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Space Force & Coast Guard; meets the high mental, moral & medical standards required by the DoD & the military services. Every MEPS represents state of the art in testing, examining & processing applicants for enlistment into the Armed Forces.

Specialized Experience

In order to qualify, your resume must clearly show one year of specialized experience which includes: Reviewing applicant records to identify discrepancies or missing information; Questioning applicants to obtain missing information or to clarify information; Maintaining electronic or paper applicant records in an automated system; Briefing candidates on policies and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
