Lead Histology Technologist

Duties

• Works with the Laboratory director and Pathologists to determine goals of the department.
• Performs microtomy, stains, and monitors documentation, complies statistical data for management.
• Reviews QC, CAP surveys and department QA's.
• Evaluates new stains, trains new caregivers, writes procedure, and ensures CAP compliance.
• Rotates call as needed.
• Gives excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma is required.
• Associate's Degree is preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• HT - Histology Tech ASCP, or HTL - Histology Technologist ASCP upon hire is required.
• 2 Years histology laboratory experience is required.
• Training orientation will be up to eight weeks is required.
