Lead Histology Technician

Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities

• Assure appropriate specimen accessioning and labeling.
• Perform gross description and dissection of specimens received.
• Maintain the integrity of the specimen and patient identification.
• Describe gross anatomic features of routine, uncomplicated surgical specimens, ensuring that all lesions, marking and sutures are mentioned.

Position Qualifications

• Minimum training/education required is an Associate degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory technology.
• 1 year of experience in grossing, preferred.

Company Information

• Sonic Healthcare USA is located at 1822 North Main Street, Suite 302, Fall River, MA 02720.
• The position is full-time and hours are from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
• The salary range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00 per hour.
• This role will have routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Employees will be trained on reasonable safeguards and are expected to maintain strict confidentiality, as well as abide by all applicable privacy and security standards.
• Employees are expected only to access PHI when it is required to fulfill job duties.
