About the role
The Lead Gaming Technician is responsible for assisting with the overall day-to-day operations of the gaming department for Rosie’s Gaming Emporium – Richmond. This role reports to the Gaming Technical Services and plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Hires, motivates, trains, coaches, mentors, and directs staff to achieve established objectives.
- Affects interactions with guests and co-workers positively and handles difficult guests with resilience.
- Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information according to company policy and state regulations.
- Keeps up-to-date on all HHR machines on the gaming floor and determines proper payouts.
- Protects company assets by adhering to policies and regulations.
- Establishes and maintains department standards, guidelines, and objectives.
- Ensures all department paperwork is completed correctly, including jackpot slips, tax documents, and guest claim forms.
- Monitors HHR machines and performs or assists in their repair and maintenance.
- Trains HHR technicians and attendants at all locations and troubleshoots various HHR machine malfunctions.
- Maintains security and ensures staff behavior and appearance adhere to established standards.
- Communicates effectively to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely information is provided to all HHR operations on location and to the HHR Technical Manager.
- Manages complaints or concerns from Team Members and addresses customer concerns.
- Maintains knowledge of gaming laws and company policies to ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred.
- Two years or more experience as an HHR Technician/Bench Technician with A+ Certification preferred.
- Supervisory position required in a high volume, complex environment.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

- Knowledge of gaming operations, rules, and regulations.
Skills
- Knowledge of Virginia Racing Commission rules and regulations.
- Ability to take appropriate action based on observations.
- Ability to communicate effectively to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely information is provided.
- Ability to monitor HHR Technician and HHR Operation reports from all locations.
- Ability to perform long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay
$22.00 per hour
Schedule
Daily and overnight travel required between locations, using a company vehicle, to provide support, perform projects, and train HHR Technicians and HHR Operations Team.
