About the role
This position is responsible for monitoring the performance of electronic gaming devices, activity, and conditions of gaming areas. Ensuring all HHR machines are operable and in good repair is a key responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Repairs and modifies components, electric systems and peripherals of the gaming machines and kiosks.
- Maintains the electronic components, systems, and peripherals of gaming machines.
- Ensures compliance with approved procedures for the HHR areas in a professional manner.
- Configures HHR machines to meet manufacturers and regulatory agency specifications.
- Removes, moves, installs and/or upgrades HHR machines.
- Maintains an inventory of parts for the HHR machines.
- Proactively monitors and tracks the HHR machine malfunctions, the cause, the repair, and the parts involved.
- Tracks and records all test money usage and testing results.
- Notifies shift supervisor of irregularities in guests’ play.
- Effectively handles guest concerns and requests.
- Acts in the capacity of other positions on an as needed basis.
- Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations.
- Has knowledge of all HHR machines on the gaming floor and can determine proper payouts.
- Protects company assets by adhering to company policies and all state and regulatory compliance including Internal Controls Policies and Procedures, The Responsible Gaming Plan and Title 31.
- Must be able to read gaming floor glass and pay table information and be able to recall vital game histories.
- Knowledgeable of all Virginia Racing Commission rules and regulations.
- Ensures that all HHR machines are functioning properly and are available for play of guests.
- Maintains knowledge of gaming laws/racing regulations, and company policies to ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years’ experience as an HHR Technician/Bench Technician with A+ Certification preferred.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent PC skills and a working knowledge of word processors and spreadsheets.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of gaming regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
