Lead Full Stack Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, marketing, operations, customer experience, and outside partners.
• Lead multiple complex software projects.
• Deploy and maintain applications in AWS (CloudFormation, API Gateway, ECS, RDS, Lambda).
• Integrate with Contentful, Shopify Plus, and Stripe.
• Work with international eCommerce and localization.
• Work with relational databases such as Postgres.
• Build and integrate with RESTful APIs.
• Use git and its popular branching models.
• Implement testing and CI/CD practices.
• Work with Docker.
• Work with common systems in an Ecommerce/Retail business such as eCommerce platforms, Content Management Systems, Payments platform, Subscription management systems, Fulfillment systems.
• Communicate with product, sales, and other key stakeholders to drive business success.
• Manage a team of engineers.
• Write clean, well-architected, self-documenting code.
• Support team members and mentor other React/Node engineers through code review, knowledge sharing, and leading by example.
• Participate in major technical discussions related to the platform.
• Create a culture of observability within the team.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with clients in the US.
• Experience leading a team.
• Deep knowledge of modern design and development patterns.
• Experience with international eCommerce and localization.
• Experience working with relational databases such as Postgres.
• Experience building and integrating with RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of git and its popular branching models.
• Strong understanding of testing and CI/CD practices.
• Experience working with Docker.
• Bachelor's degree in technology or engineering or related discipline.
• Full-stack web application development at clients in the US primarily in React, Next.js and Node.js.
