Lead, Fulfillment Purchasing
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of fulfillment buyers, responsible for personnel training, development, hiring and timecard management.
- Analyze advanced quantitative data to understand team workload, level load and prioritize requirements between team members and determine overtime requirements.
- Perform business process analysis and develop models to identify efficiencies within purchasing processes by driving projects internally and interfacing with connected teams (Accounts Payable, Shipping, etc.).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for suppliers and measure the appropriate criteria, such as delivery of business results, cost reduction, quality, and timeliness of delivery.
- Manage all department escalations with internal customers.
- Manage sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationships for assigned spend categories. Support sourcing team members as needed with relevant supplier/strategy feedback on categories served by the fulfillment team.
- Successfully partner across functions and with senior internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive results, influence others and facilitate change management across the company.
- Issue purchase orders quickly and without error and ensure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliers.
- Review open order reports and manage deliveries.
- Resolve invoice issues and ensure that vendors are paid on time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of purchasing experience.
- Experience in a purchasing or supply chain role.
- Remarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speed.
- Quick learner and ability to prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
- Technical skills in current technologies and applications (e.g. MS Office Suite, SQL, PowerBI).
- Ability to conduct all activities with the highest degree of integrity.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to communicate outside of work hours.
This position is based in McGregor, TX, and requires being onsite full-time – hybrid and remote work will not be considered.
