Lead Field Service Technician

Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Perform testing and maintenance on low, medium and high voltage power distribution equipment for commercial and industrial clients.
  • Aid in leading teams in the field, utilizing the latest technology tools and equipment.
  • Contribute to a strong team environment by assisting teammates in achieving mutual goals.
  • Communicate all information to customers in a way they can understand issues and resolutions.
  • Complete reports on the work completed.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Associate degree from an accredited 2-year technical college in Electrical Power, or similar experience/training from the military (Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, or NAVY Seabee).
  • 5 or more years of relevant testing experience.
  • NETA Certification (III or IV) highly preferred or equivalent skills/experience to become NETA Certified.
  • OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training.
  • Power DB experience a plus.
  • 3+ years of driving experience along with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, operating manuals and safety guidelines.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime and weekends as required, and be on call.
