About the role
This person will lead estimating efforts for the entire market and work with our corporate estimating team as necessary.
Estimator Responsibilities
- Demonstrated, on multiple projects, expertise in all aspects of project estimating from project pre-planning thru commissioning/closeout.
- Proven track record of successful estimating performance as measured by internal customer satisfaction, absence of project disputes based on budget/estimating problems, profitability, timely completion, project documentation, project transition from estimating to operations and estimating staff development.
- Analyze architectural plans, blueprints, and project specifications to prepare accurate estimates for drywall projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information and data.
- Calculate material quantities and labor costs required for each project.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials and construction methods to ensure cost-efficiency and quality.
- Prepare detailed and competitive bids and proposals for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and contractors to address questions and provide clarifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and pricing to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Construction related field.
- Excellent writing, communication, and organization skills.
- A positive, enthusiastic, and energetic attitude.
- A self-starter, results driven, and able to work independently.
- The ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad group of stakeholders to foster trust and partnership.
- The ability to multi-task and is comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
