About the role

Serves as advisor to the Operations Project Manager(s) of the Operations Division, multi-purpose hydroelectric projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements environmental protection strategies for hydroelectric projects.
  • Conducts site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborates with project teams to identify and mitigate potential environmental impacts.
  • Prepares and presents reports on environmental performance and progress to senior management.
  • Manages environmental permits and ensures all necessary approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
  • Provides technical guidance and training to project staff on environmental best practices.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in environmental protection, preferably in a hydroelectric context.
  • Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations applicable to hydroelectric operations.
  • Experience with environmental impact assessments and permitting processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
  • Experience with environmental monitoring and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay

$X per hour or $Y per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
