About the role
Serves as advisor to the Operations Project Manager(s) of the Operations Division, multi-purpose hydroelectric projects.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements environmental protection strategies for hydroelectric projects.
- Conducts site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
- Collaborates with project teams to identify and mitigate potential environmental impacts.
- Prepares and presents reports on environmental performance and progress to senior management.
- Manages environmental permits and ensures all necessary approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
- Provides technical guidance and training to project staff on environmental best practices.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in environmental protection, preferably in a hydroelectric context.
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations applicable to hydroelectric operations.
- Experience with environmental impact assessments and permitting processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
- Experience with environmental monitoring and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay
