Lead Steam Turbine Product Service Engineer executing product service projects and initiatives by applying in-depth technical knowledge to provide solutions for equipment-related issues. Collaborates across functions to support engineering requests, root cause analyses, and customer needs while mentoring others in technical competency.
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership & Problem-Solving: Utilize technical skills and analytical thinking to solve problems using multiple internal sources. Apply developing in-depth knowledge to address engineering requests and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers. Lead technical investigations within defined scope.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Support colleagues across functions to achieve business objectives. Develop and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships within and outside the organization. Present technical data effectively to various stakeholders.
- Project Execution: Take increasing ownership of projects and their outcomes. Act as project lead on initiatives with defined scope. Skillfully use project management tools and demonstrate confidence in meeting deliverables.
- Technical Documentation & Communication: Author and review technical communications including engineering analyses, customer presentations, and internal guidance documents. Explain technical information clearly to others and provide technical guidance based on experience.
- Root Cause Analysis Support: Participate in and contribute to root cause analysis investigations. Support development of corrective actions for equipment non-conformances.
- Continuous Improvement Leadership: Take initiative to identify improvements to current processes and raise ideas for broader changes. Play an active role in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Commercial Acumen: Contribute decisions and ideas that benefit both the organization and customers. If customer-facing, build credibility and cultivate relationships with customers.
- Fleet Knowledge & Mentoring: Develop understanding of fleet issues and product performance. Begin to mentor and train others in areas of developing expertise. Participate in weekend duty phone.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Moderate experience with product service, field service, or related engineering experience
- Demonstrated technical problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

- Steam Turbine Design or Servicing Experience
- Experience with field service

Pay
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range is between $98,400.00 and $164,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas. Bonus eligibility includes a discretionary annual bonus.
Relocation assistance provided. This is a remote position.
