Lead Electrophysiology Technician
About the role
The Lead Electrophysiology Technologist (EPT) is a cardiovascular or radiologic technologist who is RCES Certified and has completed competencies identified in the Cardiovascular Technologist orientation. This role functions as a Technologist in addition to LEAD responsibilities as outlined in the job description.
Responsibilities
- Utilize specialized equipment to perform fluoroscopy and digital image capture procedures related to the accurate diagnosis and/or optimal treatment of congenital or acquired heart arrhythmias.
- Maintain maximum patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree from an accredited school of cardiovascular or radiographic technology.
- National Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist or National Certified Electrophysiology Specialist - International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association.
- 4 years Experience in a cardiovascular laboratory.
- 3 years Electrophysiology technologist experience.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include an Associate's Degree from an accredited school of cardiovascular or radiographic technology, and completion of competencies identified in the Cardiovascular Technologist orientation. Additionally, candidates must have the following certifications:
- National Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist or National Certified Electrophysiology Specialist - International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association.

Pay
$45.41 - $71.69 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
