Electrophysiology Technician
About the role
Assists the physician in the invasive testing and/or treatment of patients in the Electrophysiology Lab. Provides specialized technical support and assistance to the physician in the precise diagnostic mapping of patient-specific lesions, related testing and treatment of adult and pediatric patients. Troubleshoots equipment problems and works closely with Clinical Engineering staff to maximize the functionality of the equipment and minimize downtime.

Requirements
- If qualifying as Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist: Must be a graduate of a two-year invasive cardiology program or IBHRE endorsed certificate or degree program (at least twelve month duration) or equivalent.
- If qualifying as a Radiologic Technologist: Must be a graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
- Upon hire: Washington Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification, or Washington Radiologic Technologist.
- Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association, or National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association.
- 1 year experience - If qualifying as Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist: Recent Invasive Cardiology Laboratory experience or graduate of certificate or degree program in Electrophysiology.
- 2 years experience - If qualifying as a Radiologic Technologist: Must have cath lab/IR experience.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include a two-year invasive cardiology program or IBHRE endorsed certificate or degree program, or equivalent coursework/training. Upon hire, certifications and clearances are required.
Skills
Must possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology are also required.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
