Lead Dockhand

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with leading a team of dock hands and supervising related operations
• Aid customers and guests with general boating needs per the direction of the Dockmaster, including securing boats to docks, black water pump out, waste disposal, and general facility sanitation
• Create the best and most memorable experience for both customers and members by providing the highest level of guest service
• Comply with all OSHA and environmental regulations, adhere to all site rules, processes, policies, and expectations, including proper wear of PPE as required for a specified task or work area

Education and Experience

• Must have prior experience as a dockhand
• Ability to work independently to achieve goals and targets
• Some knowledge of marina operations or willingness to be trained in them
• Proven track record or innate ability to interface with customers positively and successfully

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to thirty (30) pounds
• Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency
• Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally
• Must be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the property to include weekends and holidays as needed
