Lead Direct Care Professional (Residential)

About the role

The Brief Intervention Program (BIP) is a short-term residential facility located at 7444 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85710. It provides enhanced residential services to adolescents aged 12-17 who are in crisis, requiring active treatment in a highly supervised environment.

Responsibilities

• Helping individuals with their mental health
• Managing behaviors and emotional needs
• De-escalating crisis situations
• Treatment plan implementation
• Personal care (bathing, dressing)
• Medication management
• Transport
• Fostering social skills
• Supporting direct care staff
• Facilitating enrichment activities such as art projects, music groups, athletics, and adult-transition prep

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred
• One (1) year of work experience in behavioral health service delivery or six (6) months Devereux experience (internal staff)
• Supervisory experience preferred

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Driver's License is required
• Must be able to attend full time new hire orientation
• Must be able to pass 36-month DMV check
• Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
• Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
• Arizona Revised Statutes Notice (ARS 36-411 Residential care institutions; nursing care institutions; home health agencies; fingerprinting requirements; exemptions; definitions)

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage crisis situations, and effective communication are essential.

Pay and Schedule

$19 - $20.90 / hr
Wednesday - Saturday 12:30pm-10:30pm (schedules are subject to change)
