Responsibilities
- Captures and coordinates the daily tasks of their respective areas within Health Information.
- Organizes and implements the department's workflow and processes.
- Achieves related duties to meet daily goals and metrics.
- Leads team members and serves as a source of information on established processes.
- Notifies the supervisor of situations requiring escalation.
- Serves as a liaison with other areas in and out of Health Information and keeps the supervisor informed of relevant information.
- Assists in peer interviewing, training, scheduling, and distributing work to other team members.
- Assists the supervisor with bi-weekly payroll activities including troubleshooting any issues in the event there are discrepancies in a team member's paycheck.
- Maintains and monitors schedules and time punches on a daily basis.
- Reports any Health Information issues/problems to supervisors and/or managers.
Qualifications
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Minimum of one year experience in medical records.
- Effective communication skills and efficient problem solving skills.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.
