Base salary ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 annually, paid semi-monthly. Must have expert SQL skills and comfort with unstructured complex data, reporting ownership, data literacy, performance marketing optimization, advanced LookML development, and curiosity and business depth.
Role
We're seeking a Lead BI Developer to own reporting infrastructure for Credit Cards, Make Money/Manage Money, Banking, and Marketplace verticals. This role requires owning the data and driving the business forward through proactive analytical partnerships. Outcomes include dashboard standardization, improved data consumption efficiency, and a go-to analytical partner for the business team.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years in business intelligence or analytics with direct exposure to performance or affiliate marketing
- Direct experience owning reporting end-to-end, from pipeline to dashboard
- Worked with messy, complex, third-party data
- Partners closely with business teams to uncover meaningful trends, conduct retrospective analyses, and connect data work to decisions that move the business
Outcomes (Performance Expectations)
- 30 Days in: Actively engaged with stakeholders to audit reporting and begin developing a roadmap for standardization
- 60 Days in: Bridging business context and data understanding, improving dashboard standardization, and delivering ad hoc requests with accuracy and context
- 90 Days in: Dashboard standardization in execution, a clear roadmap for trusted data sources, and a strong understanding of full funnel metrics
- 6 Months in: Trust built with the business team, standardized reporting suite, and proactive retrospective analyses
- Year 1: Trusted technical owner for assigned verticals, complete reporting standardization, consistent retrospective analysis, and analytical partnership
