Lead Critical Facilities Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintains, monitors, and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Mechanical areas include operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, plumbing, generator operations, fire detection and suppression, life safety, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems (fire alarm, duress, card access, CCTV).
• Electrical responsibilities include planning, implementing, coordinating, and supervising electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management programs for critical facilities.
• Ensures conformance with Change control development, approvals, and execution.
• Schedules, develops, and ensures quality assurance for preventive maintenance, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance.
• Routinely performs work in strict accordance with governing MOP/SOP/ERP procedures and maintenance work instructions.
• Operates and monitors critical and non-critical system equipment and components.
• Oversees work efforts, including 3rd party contractors, for safe and compliant operation, maintenance, and modification of critical equipment.
• Disables and enables fire alarm control panels and systems.
• Receives and executes work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance on critical systems and building structures.
• Consults with Facility Manager or Lead CFT to order necessary materials and finalize work orders with documentation.
• Responds immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns.
• Monitors building operations and tours properties during scheduled shifts.
• Evaluates, assigns, and monitors safe work responsibilities and safety procedures for employees and contractors.
• Responds quickly to emergencies, develops processes, and ensures continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 3-5 years’ experience in electrical or mechanical critical facilities support; or 7+ years’ experience as HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician.
• Electrical/Mechanical certifications preferred.
• Able to work overtime and longer shifts (12 hours), including day/night/weekend/holiday shifts.
• Computer skills required: MS Office.

Pay

Hourly Pay Range: $48.00-54.00/hr, plus quarterly bonuses.
