About the role

This position is located at Fort Meade, Maryland for The Defense Information Systems Agency.

Responsibilities

  • Helps as Team Lead, serving as intermediary between the team and upper management.
  • Articulates assignments, plans subordinate work, trains or arranges training, provides input to the supervisor on performance management and personnel administration.
  • Serves as negotiation Team Leader and spokesperson for the Government during complex contract negotiations.
  • Directs/performs the full range of contract administration; provides direction for solving the complex technical problems associated with the analysis and evaluation of complex administration issues.
  • Serves as technical authority and subject matter expert in all aspects of cradle-to-grave contracting, to include acquisition planning, solicitation, evaluation, award, post-award administration and contract closeout.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.
  • Must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or higher grade in Federal Service.
  • Must obtain Acquisition certification in the Contracting Functional Area at the Contracting Professional Functional Tier within 36 months of entry into this position.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain security clearance.
  • Must attain DoD Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Certification and complete related continuous learning requirements.
  • Must submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 Executive Branch Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.

Qualifications

  • Basic Education Standards: Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
  • Education Exemptions: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
  • Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-13) in the Federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
  • Education: No substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level.
