Job#: 3037000 Job Description: Lead Cloud Automation Engineer Location: Columbus, Indiana (Hybrid | on-site 3 days per week) Schedule: Mon - Fri | 8am - 5pm Eastern Time | 40 hours per week Employment Type: 6 months contract-to-hire Pay Range: $60 - $70/hr Role Overview This role focuses on updating enterprise infrastructure utilizing Terraform. The successful candidate will lead the orchestration of a seamless migration from on-premises data centers to AWS EKS, ensuring zero downtime. This individual will serve as a Technical Lead and involves designing and building scalable, reliable, and high-performance infrastructure and systems. Key Responsibilities Orchestrate seamless migration from on-premises data centers to AWS EKS, ensuring zero downtime.Design and build infrastructure and systems that ensure high levels of scalability, reliability, and performance.Implement and manage robust Cron job/DAG schedulers within Kubernetes environments.Collaborate with the engineering team to continuously implement and improve reliable and speedy build environments.Develop and provide custom self-service tools for developers to securely manage infrastructure components.Lead the transition from traditional release windows to GitOps workflows, enabling up to 50+ daily deployments.Promote innovation and foster a culture of outside-the-box thinking, teamwork, and self-organization.Ensure traceability, observability, and retrievability of system behavior to maintain high standards of system monitoring and logging.Design and develop comprehensive CI pipelines for unit tests, contract tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests. Required Qualifications Experience: 7+ years of experienceExtensive experience in site reliability engineering and cloud migrations.Proven experience with platforms, application-level development, pipeline build, and automation to support build and testing.Experience as a technical lead for both offshore and onshore teams.Experience working within a large enterprise environment.Ability to build enterprise cloud-native solutions.Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency.Experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness.Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to empower developers with custom tools.
