Automation Engineer
About the role
The Automation Engineer will manage system infrastructure and applications for DoD or government agencies. They will develop and implement automation solutions, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, and work with development and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)
- Containerize applications
- Model network configurations in JSON and YAML
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and efficient automation solutions
- Work with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and management of infrastructure and applications
- Support the sustainment and development of critical naval platforms
- Continuously improve DevSecOps maturity through automation
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience supporting DoD or government agencies
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, or resolving automation issues using Ansible or PowerShell
- Knowledge of Agile development
- Knowledge of automation tools including Ansible, version control systems including Git, operating systems including RHEL and Windows, and virtualization including VMware
Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED
- Secret clearance
Skills
- DevSecOps skills
- Network automation in Python and Ansible
- Networking principles and concepts
- API design and object-oriented principles

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Employees may be required to travel CONUS or OCONUS up to 25% of the time.
