Lead Childcare Teacher

About This Role

Join the support team at Chroma Early Learning Academy in Jonesboro, GA as a Lead Childcare Teacher. This role pays $13 – $16/Hr and requires relevant professional experience.

What You'll Do

• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment aligned with Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards to ensure children's well-being.
• Support the implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum that promotes sensory exploration, communication, and gross motor development, in line with the school's goals.
• Observe and document children's developmental milestones, sharing progress and needs with families in a regular and timely manner.
• Follow all licensing and program guidelines related to health, safety, and sanitation to maintain a healthy and secure environment for children.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training required for Quality Rated compliance to stay up-to-date with best practices.
• Assist the Assistant Teacher in the daily care of the children in the classroom, providing a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to Pass a Background Check
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Ability to meet all requirements under Georgia’s Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
• High school diploma or GED required
• Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
• CDA, TCC, or Paraprofessional certificate Required
• Passion for early childhood education and the social-emotional well-being of young children.

Nice to Have

• A minimum of 1 year of teaching or childcare experience would be a valuable asset in this role.
