Lead childcare Teacher

About This Role

This Lead childcare Teacher opportunity at Chroma Early Learning Academy serves Mixed / All Ages and requires an active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Based in Lawrenceville, GA, candidates bring experience in early childhood education and development.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Assistant Teacher in the day-to-day care of the children in the classroom.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment aligned with Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards.
• Support the implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum that promotes sensory exploration, early communication, and gross motor development.
• Observe and document developmental milestones and communicate regularly with families.
• Follow all licensing and program guidelines related to health, safety, and sanitation.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training required for Quality Rated compliance.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A CDA, TCC, or Paraprofessional certificate is required.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• The ability to pass a background check is required.
• A current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire) is required.
• Candidates must meet all requirements under Georgia’s Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
• A passion for early childhood education and the social-emotional well-being of young children is essential.
• The ability to work reliably, as part of a team, and to commit to continuous learning is necessary.
