🔨 Lead Carpenter / Home Repair Specialist – Company Van + Full Pipeline of Work

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Professional Home Repair Craftsman to join our growing team at Mr. Handyman of Northern Virginia. Our team provides a full schedule of residential repair, maintenance, and improvement projects, allowing you to focus on quality work.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of residential repairs and improvements, including finish carpentry, trim, doors, and hardware
• Finish carpentry, trim, doors, and hardware
• Drywall repair, painting, and interior finishing
• Deck, fence, and exterior wood repairs
• Light plumbing and electrical repairs
• Kitchen and bathroom updates
• Troubleshoot home repair issues and recommend practical solutions
• Build and present estimates using our easy-to-use tools
• Deliver outstanding customer service from the first handshake to the final walkthrough
• Maintain a clean company vehicle and organized job site
• Work independently while staying connected with our office support team

Requirements

• 10+ years of residential construction, remodeling, or handyman experience (15+ years is a plus)
• Strong skills across multiple trades
• Excellent carpentry and finish work abilities
• Experience with drywall, painting, light plumbing, and light electrical
• Confidence working directly with homeowners
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Reliable work ethic and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Residence within or near our Northern Virginia service area
