About the Cardiology Department

In the Cardiology Department at Montrose Regional Health, cardiologists and patients are supported by a compassionate, educated, and experienced staff of nurses, technologists, and nuclear medicine technologists with a total of more than 150 years of experience in the field of cardiology. The goal of the Cardiology Department is to perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations as precisely, thoroughly, and efficiently as possible, resulting in diagnoses that lead to the best treatment while improving and prolonging patients' quality of life.

About the Career

The Lead Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer should be able to perform a variety of transthoracic, exercise stress, dobutamine echocardiograms, ABI with PVR, carotid, venous, and arterial studies within the laboratory. The role involves optimizing all available imaging modalities to acquire comprehensive tests to organizational standards, performing quality exams for physician interpretation, and ensuring precise and correct recording of results and data. Additionally, the Lead Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer oversees all equipment, other sonographers, students, and is responsible for gaining and maintaining program accreditation.

All About You

  • RDCS registered
  • BLS certified on hire; ACLS preferred
  • Fifteen years of experience required
