Lead Cardiac Sonographer (Full-Time)

About the role

Leads the daily activities and assignments of the modality. Acts and serves as a resource and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the cardiologists, echo staff, and other departments. Acts as a liaison between their department and referring physician’s offices. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac ultrasound in accordance with IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission).

Qualifications

• An appropriate credential in echocardiography:
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
  • Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Three (3) years of experience in a hospital setting
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology
• Congenital echocardiography experience
