About the role
Provides proper testing and education for in/outpatients following prescribed schedules, physician orders, competencies, and protocols. Utilizes proper equipment and procedures, protects patient’s confidentiality, and produces accurate and complete documentation for all activities.
Responsibilities
- Performs all aspects of cardiac sonography within practice guidelines and approved hospital policy and procedures.
- Coordinates with physicians, nurses, allied staff, patients, and family in scheduling and providing testing.
- Responds to all emergencies and assists with patient transports as required.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited Allied Health Program.
- Current CPR certification required.
- State of New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy licensure required.
- Minimum eligibility for RDCS Boards and/or potential to earn RDCS credential within 1 year required; current RDCS credential preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in echocardiography preferred.
- Pediatric/neonatal experience a plus.
Schedule
30 hours per week, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, three days a week with on-call rotation.
