Lead Business Analyst
Job Description
Candidates must be located in the Madison, WI, or New York, NY, area.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Insurance, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Lead Business Analyst, Product Owner, Project Coordinator, Project Lead, or similar role within the insurance industry
- Strong Reinsurance experience with knowledge of reinsurance operations, processes, systems, and workflows
- Experience within Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance environments
- Proven experience gathering requirements, conducting stakeholder interviews, documenting business processes, and creating process maps
- Demonstrated ability to lead project workstreams, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage stakeholder communications
- Proficiency with Power BI or similar reporting tools
- Experience supporting business transformation, modernization, or system implementation projects

Job Duties
Support the Reinsurance Modernization Program by serving as a senior business analysis and project coordination resource
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process analysis sessions
Create and maintain business process documentation and workflow diagrams
Cookordination activities across business and technology teams to support project delivery
Track project milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies
Prepare and deliver project status reports, dashboards, and executive communications
Facilitate stakeholder engagement and provide regular updates to project sponsors and leadership
Support implementation and process improvement initiatives related to reinsurance operations and systems
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, leadership teams, and project delivery teams
