About the Role

Diagnose plumbing and heating equipment malfunctions and perform repairs or modifications to plumbing systems and mechanical apparatus to ensure efficient operations. Conduct manufacturer-suggested maintenance programs on a fixed schedule. Adhere to the company’s mission, vision, and value statements, and comply with management systems, policies, and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assigned limited standby duties after hours and weekends (rotated equally among staff).
  • Repair all phases of plumbing-related problems, including sewer stoppages, grease trap inspections, fire hydrant repair, and new installations.
  • Attend training and observe OSHA and regulatory compliance programs (e.g., permit-required confined spaces, respiratory protection, blood-borne pathogens, PPE, lockout-tagout, spill prevention, driver safety).
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as instructed.
  • Support environmental initiatives by maintaining equipment for energy, water, and fuel efficiency.
  • Perform all work safely and maintain a safe environment.
  • Follow the GTLC Hazard Communication Program.
  • Assist with other technical work within the department during maintenance crises or reduced workloads.
  • Clean up job sites and work areas after completing tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior experience installing and maintaining plumbing water and sewer systems and equipment.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and successful completion of MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check.
  • Capable of moderately strenuous physical activity.
  • Provide own hand tools.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, boiler operation, and commercial laundry maintenance.

Pay

Starting wage: $20.00/hr – $28.00/hr.

Schedule

Full-time, year-round position.
