Lead- Blow Molding- B Shift

Roles and Responsibilities

• Champions a safety culture, ensures a safe work environment, and promotes safe behavior
• Maintains and communicates safety, maintenance, machine operation, and quality assurance training to new employees
• Prepares and documents daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies, and other relevant metrics
• Provides feedback to plant leaders concerning employee performance and behavior

Production

• Operates blow mold machines and other related equipment
• Analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other data to drive production requirements
• Performs and/or assigns personnel to conduct audits, weights, and quality checks
• Troubleshoots and resolves process problems and makes minor repairs to blow-mold and support equipment

Maintenance

• Loads and unloads trucks and secures product in accordance with customer requirements
• Performs mold, neck tooling, pin, and other equipment changes
• Installs, adjusts, and repairs blow mold machines, trimmers, palletizers, and other related equipment
• Troubleshoots, locates root problems, and repairs blow mold, baggers, and support equipment or PLC programming issues

Warehouse

• Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability
• Determines method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment

Quality

• Develops and implements quality-related training programs for all employees
• Applies statistical tools and techniques to monitor plant performance and finished goods
• Performs in-process inspections of manufactured product during molding, packaging, and loading
• Communicates quality issues and out-of-specification conditions to plant leaders
• Completes laboratory testing and collects samples at established intervals

Other

• Group Lead will have responsibility for two or more departments (i.e., Production, Warehouse, etc.)
• Lead will have responsibility for one mid-to-large department or a limited number of shift employees
• Other duties and roles may be assigned by plant management

Reasonable Mandatory Overtime

May be required due to business needs.

Minimum Requirements

• 1-3 years experience
• High School diploma

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing Experience
• Associates degree or equivalent
