Responsibilities

  • Coordinate production activities related to manufacture, assembly, testing, and packing.
  • Communicate quickly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Promote safety, quality, and environmental awareness; ensure safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported on time.
  • Ensure production activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures; disposition and approve all non-conformances as required.
  • Provide clear instructions, training, and correct tools and PPE to employees; explain and demonstrate blow molding procedures to employees needing assistance or reinforcement.
  • Maintain accurate labor and machine attendance sheets and submit as required.
  • Maintain housekeeping by 6S standards; keep work areas free of unnecessary items.
  • Ensure correct Bill of Materials (BOM) and Work Order Labels are present at each process/machine.
  • Ensure assembly components and materials are requested and delivered from the warehouse; ensure all production is counted, tagged, and sent to the warehouse, and unused components and materials are returned at the end of the run.
  • Monitor production quantities for color change, mold change, and product completion.
  • Enter process statistics and communicate them; generate Oracle reports daily.
  • Regularly inspect part quality at assigned machines to ensure acceptable quality parts and prevent mass production of defective parts; regrind unacceptable parts and prevent palletizing of scrap.
  • Write scrap tickets for non-conforming parts to be processed in Post Prime area and oversee all scrap tickets generated during the shift.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Run all machines and auxiliary equipment as needed; perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on blow molding and auxiliary equipment.
  • Seek solutions for technical problems associated with assigned processes; follow up on trials for new processes.
  • Verify manufacturing documents; ensure production activities are carried out within scheduled machine and labor hours.
  • Perform process verification prior to job commencement; communicate machine status and unacceptable part quality to Supervisor.
  • Follow Inspection and Test Plan; ensure MRB is always cleared.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency.
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year working in blow molding.
  • Language: Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Physical demands: Able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. multiple times a day during a 12-hour shift; bend and stand in difficult positions up to 12 hours; manipulate tools with both hands and stand for long hours. Minimum height requirement of 60 inches.
  • Work environment: Warehouse environment with hot and humid conditions in summer, cold in winter; high noise requiring use of hearing protection.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Familiarity with industrial products.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Oracle.

Physical Demands & Conditions

  • Standing & Walking: Extended periods (up to 12 hours) of standing, walking, moving at a brisk pace, and occasional stair climbing.
  • Postural Requirements: Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in low or awkward positions during production or maintenance tasks.
  • Lifting & Material Handling: Lifting up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day, including overhead lifts; mechanical aids such as hoists and forklifts are used where possible.
  • Fine Motor Skills & Tool Use: Use of both hands required to operate tools, perform adjustments, and handle assembly materials with precision.
  • Visual Requirements: Sufficient visual acuity (e.g., 20/40 with or without correction) for inspection and safe equipment operation.
  • Environmental Conditions: Production setting with seasonal temperatures ranging from 100–120°F (with humidity) in summer to cooler conditions in winter; high noise levels requiring hearing protection.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ear protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and protective clothing may be required depending on the task.
