General Responsibilities

  • Work independently or as part of a team
  • Understand and follow safety guidelines and ensure others are following the appropriate protocols
  • Understand scopes of work and can effectively complete the tasks associated
  • Understand common industry tools including applicable testing equipment and how to use them
  • Efficiently lead crews on different sized projects or more than one
  • Communicate, educate, and delegate effectively

Responsibilities for BAS

  • Affords assistance in the installation of building automation systems
  • Pulling wire, working with PLC’s, panel enclosures, raceways, and more relevant tasks
  • Commercial HVAC trouble shooting skills
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, towers, chillers, metering systems, steam, electric, CO, air flows, VAV systems, etc.
  • Proficient with test meters and wiring diagrams
  • Installation of controllers, communications wiring, conduit, and field devices in a workmanlike manner
  • Attends project-specific progress meetings as needed and forwards pertinent information to Project Manager
  • Performs preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation systems and components according to service agreement contracts
  • Completes and submits written service orders and reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity

Requirements

  • A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in a Technology Construction related field is preferred
  • Formal education in Electronics or related field is also preferred
